1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and username. You may also provide a profile photo.

Payment information: To use wallet and payment features, you may link a bank account or provide payment details through Stripe. To set up your wallet, Stripe collects identity-verification information required by financial regulations, which may include your legal name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. RSVPay does not store your bank account numbers, card numbers, Social Security number, or other sensitive financial information — this data is collected and handled directly by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the App, including events you create or attend, groups you join, and interactions with other users.

Device and notification information: We may collect device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics. If you enable push notifications, we collect a device push token to deliver notifications about your events, groups, and payments.

Profile visibility: Your name and username are visible to other users. You can set your profile to private to limit what others see.

Event and group participation: Other members of your groups and events can see your name and attendance status.

Payment processor: We share necessary information with Stripe to process payments, deposits, and withdrawals. Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Service providers: We use third-party service providers to operate the App, including Stripe (payments and identity verification), Supabase (data hosting and storage), Google (maps and location search), and Expo (push notification delivery). These providers process your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Profile settings: You can update your name, username, and profile photo at any time. You can set your profile to public or private.

Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. This action is irreversible.

Blocking: You can block other users to prevent them from interacting with you.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for tax and financial reporting purposes. When you delete your account, your profile, group memberships, and event history are permanently removed. Anonymized transaction records may be retained for compliance purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

RSVPay is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
